Disgust, confusion, absence, and a whirlwind of other emotions

On Tuesday night there was a protest. All of my roommates went, and I did not. I'm still trying to figure out how to understand the stories, how to be there for them, and how to continue on as a player in a system I feel like continually shows its flaws rather than its strengths.

Here's Ali's first hand account of the protest (there are three parts to this- I highly recommend you read all three) http://aliway.tumblr.com/post/5213041147/tusd-board-meeting-protest-save-ethnic-studies-part#disqus_thread

And here's an article including some photos and some video http://azstarnet.com/news/local/education/precollegiate/article_280abcc6-c923-5da4-9700-4eced2e105be.html

  1. Feel good that you have choices; the right to peacefully assemble, free speech and due process, the First Amendment to the Constitution of the United States of America. Celebrate the process! Whether you agree or disagree with the position or issue is not important.

The process is very important! and separates the USA from other countries of the world. dAd
